CPQA Laboratory

The CPQA laboratory contributes to multiple components of the overall program and includes three areas of emphasis.

Research and Development (R&D) Laboratory

  • Focuses on innovative strategies to enhance bioanalytical methodologies that can be applied to pharmacology testing and transferred to CPLs where appropriate.
  • Assay Development, Validation and Implementation
    • Development of bioanalytical methods for a variety of therapeutics, such as ARVs, TB drugs, and antibodies
    • Quantification and structural fidelity of therapeutic antibodies, including post-translational modifications and identification
    • Assays are also used for pre-qualification of proficiency testing samples.
  • Biomatrices for Pharmacology Testing
    • Validation of assays in various matrices, for example plasma, whole blood, urine

Reagents Laboratory

This lab provides CPQA's ANAB 17043 accredited Proficiency Testing program for antiretrovirals.

  • Certified reference materials are used in the production of proficiency testing samples.
  • As needed, compendial testing is performed to provide a Certificate of Analysis.
